Dear M.O. S. patients,

We hope everyone is gradually coming out of this difficult period safely.

The office has been closed since mid-March but will reopen on Tuesdays beginning June 9. While the office was closed Dr. Bitan was seeing patients via private, virtual consultations. Based on the overwhelmingly positive feedback received Dr. Bitan will continue to offer virtual consultations as an alternative to a standard office visit, but there will be particular cases where in an office visit is required.

The health and safety of our staff and patients at M.O.S. is paramount; in keeping with CDC and NY State guidelines we have instituted the following modified rules for visiting the M.O.S. office:

  • Please arrive as close to your scheduled appointment as possible. Appointments are being staggered in order to minimize contact between patients and encourage social distancing.

  • The waiting room will be closed until further notice; please wait outside until contacted by a M.O.S staff member.

  • Masks and gloves are mandatory; please keep your mask and gloves on while inside the office.

  • All visitors will be subject to a non-contact temperature check before being allowed to enter the office.

  • Children and non-medical companions will not be permitted to enter the office.

Patients who are experiencing flu-like symptoms (fever, runny nose, coughing, sneezing, chills, etc.) or who have traveled or been in contact with individuals who traveled outside of the metropolitan area recently are strongly advised to cancel and reschedule their appointment.

We have also launched a new website www.drbitan.com for our patients to submit MRI scans and book consultations, including our popular virtual consultation option and our new telemedicine second opinion for patients who already have a surgeon.

Dr. Bitan is looking forward to seeing you soon. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the M.O.S. staff.

Stay healthy and safe during these difficult times,

Fabien Bitan, M.D.
